}(...) /05 : Check here ther ultrason

}30/01/05 : Alizée is due for 25/02. We are all getting excited for this date. Preparation are running full speed. Room is ready. We now discuss the Cord issue. It seems expensive. we have alphacord as a possibility. MD says is ok, do it if you want but it is not proved medically.

}7/02/05 : It snows in Istanbul since 2 days. The balcony has 40cm snow now. I did not buy chains for the car....but we had a visit of our neighbourg who has a 4x4 and we felt safer when she told us she would help if necessary. It's quite a stressing time actually. Snow is everywhere. The roads in Ulus are stuck. Me and Dilek we sleep little and at strange hours. I wake-up very early in the morning. Alizée is expected 23/2. By the way, we have decided to go for genkord (www.genkord.com) for the  cord stuff, as she will give birth in Istanbul. Dilek has prepared her hospital bag and we have the Cord  box ready.

}22/02/05 : We have decided for the cesarienne. Tomorrow morning is the day, the exact timing for the due date. We thought 22.2.2005 would have been a nice birthdate, but hey ! couldn't manage that much. Everything is ready in the house, the baby room is ready and the rose color has since long dried out. I hope everything will be fine tomorrow. we should be in the hospital by 07h30

}23/02/05 :  At 09h25 a new life form appears !! It weights 3270g and is 50 cm long...check the first photos here and as well the newspaper dated for this historic date :)  here

}25/02/05 : More adaptation to the new world !

}26/02/05 :  Back home by 15h00. Departure from the hospital is a little bit longer than expected for administrative reasons. The Maternity environement was very safe. A problem or question and immediatly the nurse would come. We get the training for baby wash and get certified :) Going back home makes us anxious. Nevermind, we succeed on fixing  the baby chair in the car and here we are, our little family back, now we will have to cope by ourselves ! Late in the afternoon we have the visit of Ahmet and Yeþim (Dilek's brother) who came from Ankara. Birsen Teyze stays home to help. 3 people is just what is needed to make it work ....I cook for 6 adults, Dilek is breeding and the hours go....

}27/02/05: Home habits back...and adapation to new life world, her to us, us to her...

}19/03/05 : First time out for a promenade along the bosphorus shores, check the new pictures here The weather was a little bit cold, but it was good exercise.

}02/04/05 : Alizée is now 3950g, reaching 4Kg. She has new expression on her face, her eyes are getting more blue and clearer, but she has a lot of gas and is very uncomfortable for her. We use : (i) "Nurse Harvey's" gripe mixture (sodium bicarbonate) (UK) (ii) "Infant's" Mylicon (gas releive based on Simethicone) (US) and (iii) "sap simplex" (German). For Vitamines we use Devit-3 which is D3 vitamine  We have changed MD as well. The original one was very speedy and almost no time to talk. She then receives 5 phone calls in a row and we are there waiting. The new MD is in Niþantasi (Jak Sarfati) a well known and efficient profesional. The nanny was not a success too. The first one stayed 3 weeks, and was fired. She was turkish. The second, after a couple of weeks later stayed 3 days and left without prior notice. Now we are seeking for one boarding (?)...Anyway, check the new pictures here

}08/04/05: New pictures have been added here Today Alizée weights 4200g. The MD was surprised by such a speed!!  Everything is ok, but she does not sleep and she is always very active. Our new MD (J.Sarfati) is perfect.

}14/04/05: Check this little game

}1/05/05: Check new pictures here. French-Mother is here for 2 weeks and helps a lot. She will leave next week on Thursday. Turkish-Mother stayed here 40 days as well and helping a lot. Unfortunatly, after a friend's visit, Alizée got the flue,  since 6 days now, but getting better. We started anti-biotics this morning, a kind of sirop (Augmentin-100). As well we use shots of Physiological serum to clear the noze (from Gifrer, 0.9% sodium chloride in shots of 5ml). We use Peditus sirup against caughing (from Hexal) and Calpol (from GlaxoSmithKline) against fewer. Alizée is now 4800g. numbers are showing fine....but still no solution for house maid.

}2/05/05: Alizée is feeling better. She "learns" new movement and eye catch.

} 21/05/05: Alizée is about 5075g . She keeps up growing in phases. Dilek caught her first Mastisis last week, so she could not breed -> baby weight droped below average. Once mother recovered alizée is now gaining a lot of weight. We went to Ankara last week to visit parents. Finally we found a Nany called Maya, who is in her middle-ages, very nice and very helpfull. It looks like she will stay long. New pictures have been added here.

}29/05/05: We had the visit from Paris of Sab. Check the pictures here. He brought us the vaccines we cannot find in Turkey as well. Thanks. We'll see the Doc next week, Alizée is about 5150g .

}17/06/05:  Tomorrow departure for Bodrum. The family will stay there for a while.New pictures here. Alizée is about 5500g . Growing and growing and smiling...check the picture on the left !!

} 18/06/05: first flight .... Bodrum....life is cool no ??

} 10/09/05: Alizée is now 6.5 months old. 2 new pictures have been add here. Alizée is about 7kg She has a new nany called Funda Haným. She now sats and eats and does strange moves in the bed, like :

She is now quite inter-active, smiling all the time and discovering with attention her world. Bodrum was good to her, but now she will prepare for a winter in Istanbul. We will go to France visit her grant-parents in October, before Dilek starts back working. The live web-cam should be working now, by clicking here. The pictures are updated every 30secs
